Nine models will span most of Aquila’s power range
Aquila’s Fort Lauderdale display will include the 35 Sport, 45 Sport, 54 Yacht, 50 Yacht, 46 Yacht, 47 Molokai, 36 Molokai, 46 Coupe and 42 Coupe. The selection covers nearly every power-catamaran segment in the builder’s current portfolio.
For buyers, putting so many models in one place creates a useful comparison opportunity because the boats differ significantly in intended use. Some prioritise performance and day use, while others focus on cruising accommodation, offshore range or enclosed all-weather comfort.
The 35 Sport will make its US debut
The all-new 35 Sport is the headline debut for the American market. At 10.81 metres overall, it combines a broad 4.49-metre beam with twin outboard power, a private queen cabin and a cockpit designed to switch between entertaining and water access.
Aquila offers twin Mercury Verado V8 300 hp engines as standard, with V10 400 hp units available as an option. The model sits at the smaller end of the LYG sector but brings multihull space and performance into a size that remains manageable for owner-operators.
Larger yacht models show the breadth of the range
At the upper end of the display, the 46, 50 and 54 Yacht models target owners looking for extended cruising and more substantial accommodation. These boats use the wide beam of a power catamaran to create large saloons, full-beam living spaces and multi-cabin layouts without moving into superyacht dimensions.
The Coupe and Molokai ranges add further variety, with more enclosed cruising configurations on one side and fishing- and adventure-oriented designs on the other. That breadth helps explain why Aquila is treating Fort Lauderdale as a major showcase rather than a single-model launch.
Fort Lauderdale remains a key market for power catamarans
The 2026 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show runs from October 28 to November 1 at Bahia Mar and other waterfront locations. South Florida is one of the world’s most active markets for power catamarans, both for private ownership and charter use.
Aquila’s nine-model display therefore serves both as a product showcase and a statement of scale. For LYG readers considering a power catamaran, the event will offer one of the strongest opportunities this year to compare different Aquila layouts, lengths and operating styles side by side.
