Ancasta International Boat Sales has opened new offices in Amsterdam and Montenegro as part of a wider expansion of its European yacht brokerage network. The two locations extend the group into the Dutch market and the Adriatic while supporting owners who buy, sell and cruise across multiple European regions.
Amsterdam targets the Dutch brokerage market
The Amsterdam office is led by Sunny de Haan, who brings more than 13 years of brokerage experience in the Netherlands. Ancasta says the office will initially focus on premium sailing yachts and motor yachts while drawing on the wider group’s international sales network.
The Netherlands has a mature ownership and brokerage market, making local representation important for a group trying to grow beyond its traditional UK base. A permanent office also gives sellers a local contact rather than relying on cross-border marketing alone.
Montenegro adds an Adriatic base
The Montenegro office is headed by multilingual broker Dragan Jolić and is intended to support clients throughout Montenegro, Croatia and the wider Adriatic. That region continues to attract both resident owners and visiting yachts moving between established Mediterranean cruising grounds.
Ancasta’s presence there broadens the company’s reach into a market where local marina knowledge, registration experience and regional buyer contacts can materially affect a transaction. It also gives the group another base close to owners who may later require aftersales or brokerage support.
The network reaches 24 sales offices
With the two openings, Ancasta says it now operates 24 sales offices across the UK and Europe, including established operations in France and Spain. The company is also exploring further opportunities in Greece, Turkey, Portugal and Italy.
That expansion reflects how yacht brokerage is becoming less nationally defined. Owners often keep a yacht in one country, register it in another and market it to buyers across several regions, so brokers increasingly need both local expertise and a wider network.
European growth supports a broader service model
Ancasta is combining the office expansion with brokerage, new-boat sales and aftersales operations across the group. The strategy is designed to keep clients within the same network as they move between buying, ownership, maintenance and resale.
For buyers and sellers, the test will be consistency between offices rather than sheer network size. A larger footprint only adds value if valuation, listing quality, communication and aftersales support remain coherent across the group.
