The Nürburgring turns 100 in 2027, and Porsche has chosen the 911 GT3 to express its long connection to the demanding German circuit. The 100 Jahre Nürburgring market edition is limited to 100 vehicles for Germany, with orders opening in September 2026 and delivery planned for the anniversary year.
This is a car for a collector's garage rather than a new tender, but its precise engineering and customisation speak to owners who enjoy both motoring and yachting. It remains distinct from Porsche's separate Flachbau and other recent special models.
Green, silver and race references
White or GT Silver Metallic bodywork can be paired with prominent green detailing, historic track logos and owner-selected competition numbers. California Gold wheel finishes provide a contrasting note without disguising the GT3 silhouette.
The cabin continues the theme through special stitching, a green roll cage and different driver and passenger seat detailing. These cues reference the track's visual identity rather than changing a road vehicle into a competition car.
The optional Manthey direction
Porsche offers a colour-coordinated Manthey package with suspension, braking and aerodynamic changes for customers interested in circuit use. The manufacturer's published downforce and lap data describe the relevant equipped specification, not every car in the series.
Road use and track use have different insurance, tyre and servicing demands that an owner should assess separately. Even a dedicated driving experience needs advance planning and a suitable circuit booking.
A watch for the same story
A matching Porsche Design Chronograph 1 is offered exclusively to owners of the edition, extending its design theme beyond the vehicle. A historical Nürburgring emblem and interior-inspired strap details connect the wristwatch with the car.
It is a separate collectible object, not a performance component or a necessary part of ownership. Prospective buyers should confirm the availability and commercial terms of the matching timepiece.
A weekend beyond the marina
A continental yacht owner might build a motoring excursion into an otherwise coastal trip, but the Eifel circuit is an inland destination requiring its own travel arrangements. Neither a yacht berth nor a road-car purchase grants access to a private track session.
This August-announced edition is available for order in September, subject to allocation in its stated market. LYG's official Porsche photograph identifies the exact anniversary GT3 rather than another 911 model.
