Orient Express Sailing Yachts and Guerlain are turning an Atlantic crossing into a dedicated wellness retreat. Ocean Rebirth will take place aboard Orient Express Corinthian from October 12 to 26, 2026, connecting Lisbon with Bridgetown and calling at Ponta Delgada in the Azores.
Wellness designed for days at sea
The fourteen-night programme is built around the unusual rhythm of a transatlantic voyage: long stretches away from city schedules, with time for recovery, quiet and structured wellbeing. Guerlain is developing the programme around regeneration of body and mind, extending a partnership already expressed through the spa aboard the yacht.
The setting matters. Orient Express Corinthian combines the language of a large sailing yacht with a hospitality model more familiar from ultra-luxury hotels. Designed by architect and artistic director Maxime d'Angeac, the vessel offers an environment in which accommodation, dining and spa experiences are intended to form one continuous journey.
A new use for the crossing itself
Rather than treating the Atlantic passage simply as the means of reaching the Caribbean, Ocean Rebirth makes the crossing the principal experience. The concept reflects a broader move in luxury travel toward slower itineraries, privacy and wellness programmes that are integrated into the journey rather than added as an optional activity.
A return edition is planned for March 2027 from Bridgetown to Lisbon, again routing through the Azores. For guests interested in yachting, wellness and long-form travel, the programme is a distinctive example of how the sea voyage itself is being repositioned as the luxury product.
