Omega has opened a temporary James Bond and Spectre exhibition at its Glendale boutique in California, extending the launch of its new Seamaster Diver 300M collection into an archival experience built around the two opposing sides of the 007 story.
Two archives face one another
Running from October 5 to November 8, the Timeless Adversaries exhibition is arranged as two facing archives: one dedicated to James Bond and the other to Spectre. More than twenty original props from seven Bond films are displayed in shelving systems that lead visitors toward a dedicated watch room.
The final space brings together six pieces from the Omega Museum in Switzerland with the new James Bond and Spectre editions. The combination places the current watches alongside material from the film history that helped make the Seamaster one of the most recognisable luxury watches associated with cinema.
Collecting beyond the watch itself
The exhibition gives collectors a wider context for the latest Seamaster release. Rather than presenting the watches in isolation, Omega is connecting product design, film props, archival material and the long-running relationship between the brand and the Bond franchise.
The Glendale installation is open to the public for five weeks. For enthusiasts of watches, design and film memorabilia, it offers a concise look at how Omega is turning the Bond collaboration into a broader collecting and cultural story.
