The revised watches adopt rounded subdials in place of the earlier oval form, reduce text on the dial and return to a thicker bezel featuring the characteristic Dot-Over-Ninety detail.
The case size remains a central part of the collection's appeal for people who want a chronograph that sits differently on the wrist from larger Speedmaster models. The redesign is an evolution of an established family rather than a new limited-edition claim.
Seven ways to wear the design
The steel models offer black, white and silvery dials, while two two-tone references combine steel with Moonshine Gold or Sedna Gold detailing. The remaining two use diamond-set bezels and either an ice-blue or mother-of-pearl dial.
Each version is fitted with a five-link bracelet inspired by the Moonwatch, with finishes selected to complement its case and dial. Buyers should compare individual reference specifications because colour, materials and date display are not identical across the range.
Two movements in the collection
Six references with date functions use Omega's self-winding Co-Axial calibre 3330. The black-dial no-date model instead uses calibre 3332, giving it a cleaner face and a different mechanical reference.
The technical difference is easy to overlook when comparing images alone. Collectors should check the exact model and calibre rather than assuming every Speedmaster 38 shares the same mechanism.
A familiar watch with new proportions
The white version contrasts its dial with a blue ceramic bezel, while the silvery model uses warm grey and Sedna Gold-coloured details. The diamond-set pair includes 52 stones around each bezel, listed at a total of 1.53 carats.
