Las Ventanas al Paraíso, A Rosewood Resort, has retained its Two MICHELIN Keys in the 2027 MICHELIN Guide hotel selection, extending a run that began when the resort was recognised in the Guide’s first selection of Mexican hotels in 2025. The award describes a property delivering an exceptional hotel stay, placing the Los Cabos resort in a comparatively small group of hotels judged on service, character, comfort and sense of place.
The renewed recognition arrives immediately after another significant result for the property. Las Ventanas ranked No. 25 in The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2026, rising 19 places from No. 44 in 2025 and taking the list’s Highest Climber Award.
A Los Cabos resort built around place rather than scale
Las Ventanas sits where the desert landscape of Southern Baja meets the Sea of Cortez, and Rosewood has long used that setting as the central idea behind the resort. The property combines 84 suites and villas with Rosewood Residences, favouring low-rise architecture, gardens, pools and direct views of the coast instead of the enclosed feel of a conventional urban luxury hotel.
Mexican craftsmanship runs throughout the accommodation and public spaces, while the guest experience is designed to keep the destination visible rather than hiding it behind an internationalised luxury language. That approach matters in the MICHELIN Key system because the judging criteria consider personality and a meaningful sense of place alongside physical comfort.
Dining and wellness create several reasons to remain on property
The resort’s restaurants and bars include Sea Grill on the oceanfront, Árbol with Asian and Indian influences, the Tequila & Ceviche Bar and the La Botica speakeasy. Together they give guests several distinct evening options without relying on a single signature restaurant to carry the entire culinary identity of the property.
Wellness is similarly distributed through the resort rather than contained only inside a treatment building. Guests have access to eight pools, Mexican-inspired treatments at The Spa at Las Ventanas, sunrise activities and horseback riding along the beach, giving the stay a rhythm that can move between privacy, activity and destination-led experiences.
The 2027 result follows a strong year of independent recognition
The MICHELIN Key retention is especially useful because it comes from a different judging framework from The World’s 50 Best Hotels. A property appearing strongly in both systems suggests that the appeal is not limited to one editorial methodology or one moment of launch publicity.
Las Ventanas first opened in 1997 and will mark its 30th anniversary in 2027. Maintaining attention at that stage of a hotel’s life is different from winning praise as a new opening, because the challenge shifts toward service consistency, continual maintenance and the ability to refresh experiences without losing the identity that made the property distinctive.
For yacht travellers, Los Cabos remains a useful luxury stop
Los Cabos continues to attract owners and guests combining yacht itineraries with resort stays, golf, wellness and private aviation. A property such as Las Ventanas can therefore function as more than an overnight hotel, offering a land-based extension to a cruising programme when guests want several days away from the yacht without sacrificing privacy and high service levels.
The 2027 MICHELIN recognition gives those travellers another current reference point when comparing the region’s top properties. The more important achievement, however, is the resort’s ability to remain relevant nearly three decades after opening while still presenting a clear connection to Baja rather than simply a generic version of international luxury.
