Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong has been elevated from one to two Michelin Keys in the 2026 Michelin Guide hotel selection. The distinction recognises the overall stay and makes the property one of four two-Key hotels in the city, according to its announcement.

The change comes one year after the hotel Key system was introduced locally. It is a separate measure from the Michelin restaurant Stars also associated with the hotel.

A second Key for the stay

Michelin's Keys are based on anonymous assessment of hotel quality, character, service and sense of place. Two Keys identify an exceptional stay rather than awarding two Stars to a hotel restaurant.

For travellers, the distinction applies to the broader accommodation experience. Individual room categories and pricing still need to be compared on their own merits.

Seven restaurant Stars under one roof

The hotel's 2026 dining honours comprise three Stars for Caprice, two for Lung King Heen and two for Noi. Those recognitions relate to three distinct restaurants within the property.

A hotel's culinary reputation may contribute to its appeal, but restaurant Star evaluations and hotel Key evaluations have separate criteria. They should not be combined into an invented single rating.

Central Hong Kong position

The hotel stands at 8 Finance Street close to IFC Mall and Hong Kong's waterfront. Its setting offers access to both the business district and a broad range of city attractions.

The location may particularly suit a short urban stay linked to dining and shopping. The recent Cake Shop IFC pop-up, covered separately by LYG, is another distinct off-property food initiative.

What has changed in 2026

The key factual development is a move from the earlier one-Key recognition to two Keys this year. The award does not signify an announced room renovation or a new restaurant opening by itself.

Guests should use the award as one reference alongside room requirements and current hotel information. LYG is reporting the actual measured distinction without recasting it as a universal hotel ranking.
