A Spanish table at Jou Jou Brasserie
Jou Jou Brasserie at Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach presented La Mesa Mediterranea as the second edition of its Supper Club. The one-night event was scheduled for Thursday 15 October 2026, following an earlier dining evening staged during the summer.
The concept centred on shared Mediterranean cooking and the feeling of a generous family table. This is a look at the announced culinary collaboration, not an advertisement for a future date that has already passed.
Two chefs bring different perspectives
Jou Jou's chef de cuisine Daniel Gallo worked alongside Teresa Ibanez, the Spanish chef and culinary personality associated with The Gastronomista. Together they developed a menu intended to combine classical Iberian flavours with a contemporary restaurant presentation.
The pairing offered diners the chance to experience two creative approaches within one setting. Neither chef's participation implies that the resulting menu will become a permanent part of the brasserie's offering.
Tapas lead into generous main courses
The shared meal included dishes such as bluefin tuna escabeche, Wagyu beef tartare, cecina croquettes and garlic prawns. A paella was planned as a centrepiece, drawing on Spanish traditions in which the rice dish is made to be shared.
These choices link seafood and produce to the idea of relaxed Mediterranean hospitality. The menu also demonstrates that a supper club can offer a different rhythm from conventional individual starters and main courses.
Desserts complete the culinary journey
The closing dishes included torrija with olive-oil ice cream and a Basque cheesecake. Their familiar Spanish associations created a link back to the theme after the more elaborate savoury courses.
The venue planned to serve dinner on its outdoor terrace, where greenery and warm Dubai evenings contribute to the setting. Weather and operational arrangements can influence how an outdoor event actually unfolds.
The meaning of a one-night dinner
Four Seasons listed the event at AED 385 per person including a welcome drink, with reservations handled through the resort. That was the advertised arrangement for the October 15 edition, not an ongoing price for subsequent dining experiences.
For travellers exploring Dubai's restaurant scene, the event illustrates how luxury hotels can bring visiting chefs into a destination. Future Supper Club themes and dates should be verified through new announcements rather than assumed.
