Embraer's Phenom 300EV has received approvals from aviation authorities in Brazil, the United States and Europe, clearing a key step towards service with its Garmin Emergency Autoland system. The manufacturer announced the triple certification on 25 August 2026, following the light jet's July introduction.
The aircraft is the first certified light jet to incorporate that emergency landing technology, according to Embraer. It provides a new option for owners considering short- and medium-range private flights alongside time aboard a luxury yacht.
Three regulators complete their reviews
Embraer identifies ANAC in Brazil, the US Federal Aviation Administration and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency as the three certifying authorities. The approvals allow the model to operate in those major markets, subject to the normal aircraft and operator requirements.
The certification follows a development programme introducing automated safety and avionics functions. Approval is a documented milestone, whereas an owner still needs to assess the aircraft's configuration and operational permissions for a particular itinerary.
Emergency Autoland and cockpit systems
Garmin Emergency Autoland is designed to carry out an automated landing if the pilot becomes incapacitated. Embraer developed a Multi-Purpose Electronic Controller to support electrically controlled functions, including autobrake and rudder-by-wire.
The flight deck is based on Garmin's G3000 Prodigy Touch system, with further runway awareness and guidance functions. Such assistance changes the aircraft's safety toolkit but is not a replacement for trained crews, operating procedures and routine maintenance.
Range and the passenger experience
The manufacturer's published range is 2,055 nautical miles with four passengers and NBAA IFR reserves, a specification that depends on operating conditions and payload. It also describes cabin refinements and a Gogo Galileo low-Earth-orbit connectivity option.
Embraer says deliveries of the Phenom 300EV are expected to begin in 2028. Prospective customers should confirm the final fit, local connectivity, support arrangements and delivery terms rather than assume certification means immediate availability.
