HEATHER ROSE is a useful reminder that the most interesting part of a performance yacht is not always the maximum-speed figure. The 22.82-metre Sunseeker Predator 74 XPS combines a 38-knot top end with an interior and deck plan intended to make longer private trips realistic rather than merely possible.

Fraser is offering the 2022-delivered yacht at €2.15 million during Monaco Yacht Show week. The boat has had one owner and has been used privately, giving buyers a relatively recent example of Sunseeker’s more highly specified XPS treatment inside LYG’s upper size band.

The XPS package changes the character of the Predator

The special-edition treatment adds exclusive upholstery, interior detailing and carbon elements to the standard Predator 74 platform. A black-tinted hull, black-painted upper structure and carbon opening sunroof give HEATHER ROSE a darker, more aggressive visual identity than a conventional white sports yacht.

Performance is strong without dominating the layout

Fraser quotes a 28-knot cruising speed and 38-knot maximum speed with the largest engine package. The lightweight GRP platform is therefore fast enough for short Mediterranean passages while still offering the enclosed saloon and cabin volume expected from a 74-foot cruiser.

That balance is important because maximum speed is rarely used for long periods in normal ownership. The more meaningful question is whether the yacht remains comfortable and efficient at the speeds an owner will use most often.

Three ensuite cabins favour space over maximum berth count

The interior accommodates six guests in three cabins, each with its own bathroom. A full-beam master, forward VIP and convertible twin give the layout flexibility without squeezing in a fourth guest cabin simply to improve a specification-sheet number.

Oversized windows and the open roof help keep the interior bright, while the aft cockpit and foredeck provide separate outdoor areas. For a couple or family cruising with occasional guests, that use of volume may be more attractive than a higher nominal berth count.

Monaco week creates a direct comparison opportunity

HEATHER ROSE is available in the Monaco area from 23 to 26 September while the Yacht Show is underway. That places the yacht in front of buyers who may be considering much larger vessels but still value the ease of owning something below 24 metres.

The €2.15 million asking price puts condition, tax status and engine history under close scrutiny, as they should be on any brokerage purchase.
