Saxdor brings its flagship to Croatia

The Saxdor 460 GTC is being presented as a Croatian premiere at the 2026 Biograd Boat Show, according to the show's published model preview. The appearance introduces local visitors to a larger vessel from the Finnish brand's current range without incorrectly claiming a first-ever worldwide launch.

Biograd's in-water exhibition makes it possible to compare the 460 GTC with other enclosed and open motor yachts at a practical cruising scale. At 14.4 metres overall, it is clearly within the privately operated luxury yacht market.

A wheelhouse that opens to the elements

Saxdor calls the main attraction its full-beam glass wheelhouse, which can be shut for weather protection or opened using sliding glass sections and a retractable roof. The idea is to offer an enclosed cruising environment that can change into a much more connected social deck.

This combination is particularly interesting in the Adriatic, where warm afternoons and sudden changes in wind can call for very different levels of shelter. A detailed inspection should focus on the ease of using the mechanisms and the circulation they create.

Folding side terraces add room

When opened at anchor, folding side platforms enlarge the usable outdoor area beside the cockpit. This feature can transform the way guests gather by the water and gives the vessel much of its appeal as a fast entertaining platform.

As with any moving deck structure, safe operation depends on the manufacturer's limits and the surrounding conditions. A buyer should verify how the platforms are secured, how the crew gains access during berthing and whether they obstruct equipment when folded.

Twin-stepped deep-V running surface

The builder's published brochure identifies a twin-stepped, 20-degree deep-V hull intended to balance responsive handling with comfort underway. Saxdor offers substantial outboard engine packages, with published configurations reaching a combined 1,275 horsepower.

Claims of speeds up to 50 knots are manufacturer performance estimates rather than results guaranteed under every loading or sea condition. Owners should request an appropriately configured sea trial and ask about fuel consumption at realistic cruising speeds.

Two cabins beneath the main deck

The Saxdor 460 GTC provides two cabins below deck, including a forward sleeping space and a further cabin amidships. This makes it more than a dayboat despite its emphasis on outside living and high speed.

The arrangement will appeal to owners wanting overnight flexibility without maintaining a larger accommodation-led yacht. It also creates an opportunity to assess cabin ventilation, storage and the balance between sleeping comfort and deck space.

A significant local presentation

The Croatian showing follows the model's appearances at earlier international boat shows, so its importance is access for the regional boating market. Prospective customers can use the event to examine the convertible wheelhouse and other details instead of relying on press photographs alone.

An event listing does not by itself establish a selling price, delivery slot or equipment package for a specific yacht. Buyers should confirm those points with an authorised Saxdor representative, particularly because engine choices and local taxes can materially change the final proposal.
