The 58 Capri opens a new chapter for Riva's open yachts

Riva introduced the 58 Capri as the first model in a new generation of open yachts, evolving ideas from the 56 Rivale while drawing on the styling success of the larger 68 Diable. The fixed canopy is the most distinctive visual change.

The new design keeps the low, sculpted proportions associated with Riva while adding more protection over the cockpit. This gives owners a stronger balance between open-air use and shelter without turning the yacht into a conventional enclosed sports cruiser.

Two MAN V8 packages create distinct performance choices

The standard specification uses twin MAN V8 1000 engines, with Riva publishing a maximum speed of 33 knots and a cruising speed of 27 knots. Optional V8 1200 engines raise those figures to 37 and 31 knots respectively.

These numbers remain builder specifications and will vary with loading, weather and hull condition. Buyers choosing between the packages should also consider fuel use, maintenance and normal cruise profile rather than treating top speed as the only decision factor.

Two guest cabins are joined by a crew cabin

The lower deck provides two guest cabins and two bathrooms, together with a standard crew cabin and separate crew head. That layout gives the 58 Capri more separation than many performance yachts around the same length and supports longer stays with professional assistance.
