Princess Yachts has introduced the Residence Collection, a factory-coordinated range of mattresses, linens, upholstery and leather options designed to arrive prepared for each yacht. Rather than being a new yacht model, the programme addresses a practical part of ownership: specifying soft furnishings and bedding that fit unusual cabin dimensions before delivery.
The collection brings together Vispring mattresses with bed linen and towelling from Peter Reed and Heirlooms, alongside selected upholstery fabrics and enhanced leather finishes. Princess says the aim is to make the interior feel complete from the first day on board while keeping the materials aligned with the design language of the yacht.
Vispring mattresses are tailored to individual berths
Princess says every yacht is already fitted with a handcrafted Vispring mattress made to the dimensions of each berth. The Residence Collection adds a Superior Luxury option using layers of hand-teased Shetland wool beneath pure wool ticking, with the material selected for softness, temperature regulation and adaptability.
Made-to-measure sizing matters on a yacht because berth shapes rarely follow standard domestic mattress dimensions. Factory coordination can therefore remove the need for an owner or interior contractor to measure, order and test-fit bedding after the yacht has already been delivered.
Peter Reed and Heirlooms supply the linen programme
The collection includes bed linen, duvets, pillows, towels and laundry bags from Peter Reed and Heirlooms. Buyers can choose 570-thread-count cotton sateen or pure linen bedding, with fitted sheets made individually to the dimensions of the mattresses on the yacht.
Both suppliers bring established British craft credentials to the programme, and Princess highlights their Royal Warrants as part of the provenance story. The practical benefit for owners is less about the badge and more about receiving a coordinated set whose sizing, colours and handling requirements have already been considered as part of the yacht specification.
Upholstery and leather extend the package beyond cabins
Princess also offers premium upholstery fabrics and enhanced leather finishes for selected interior and exterior living spaces. These options let owners carry a consistent material direction beyond bedding into seating and other high-contact areas, where durability and cleaning requirements are as important as appearance.
That is particularly relevant on yachts used heavily by families or for long cruising periods, because soft materials experience salt, sunscreen, humidity and frequent cleaning. Buyers should therefore assess maintenance and replacement practicality alongside colour and texture when choosing upgraded finishes.

The main value of the Residence Collection is integration into the build and delivery process. Princess says the selected elements are prepared before handover, reducing the amount of separate sourcing an owner has to coordinate once the yacht is operational.
Princess does not publish a universal price for the programme on its public page, so cost will depend on the yacht and chosen options. Owners should compare the factory package with independent interior sourcing, but the collection offers a clear alternative for buyers who place a premium on fit, consistency and having the yacht fully prepared at delivery.
