The Australian yard says the first GT50 RS was ordered by an existing owner for journeys between Connecticut and Long Island. That purpose gives the performance yacht an unusually concrete operational role.

Four outboards and a dedicated hull
Four Mercury Racing 500R V8 outboards provide a combined 2,000hp, with the builder reporting a speed of 50 knots. That figure is a manufacturer claim and should not be taken as a tested result for every load.
Palm Beach uses its V-Warp approach with infused carbon fibre, E-glass and vinylester construction. The objective is a light, rigid structure for sustained fast cruising rather than a conventional heavy sports boat.
At 17.1 metres overall and 4.48 metres of beam, the model sits inside LYG's 12.00–23.99-metre coverage. Published capacities include 2,500 litres of fuel and 510 litres of freshwater, which must be interpreted against actual speeds and reserves.
A saloon with open and closed modes
Opening windows and a sunroof bring air through the helm and living space, while closing them creates a sheltered, air-conditioned cabin. The result is a different experience from an entirely open high-speed day boat.
The yard uses carbon-fibre detailing, Alcantara surfaces and glossy teak joinery around the saloon and galley. A forward cabin with a king-size bed gives the owner a genuine overnight option after an extended run.
What an owner should establish
Four outboards change transom access, boarding routes and engine-service arrangements, so each deserves inspection with the boat afloat. A claimed maximum speed cannot replace a passage plan with suitable fuel reserves.
The buyer should check cockpit-to-saloon circulation and useful storage with guests aboard. The manufacturer-supplied image selected for this report depicts the GT50 RS rather than another Palm Beach model.
