NAVAN moves into a larger exploration class
NAVAN Boats gave the C38 its world premiere at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival, taking the Brunswick-owned brand into a larger segment than its existing 30-foot family. The enclosed cruiser has been developed around the same exploration-first brief that underpins the smaller NAVAN models, but with more accommodation, fuel capacity and all-weather protection.
The C38 measures 13.1 metres overall with a 3.4-metre beam. NAVAN lists sleeping accommodation for four, a 950-litre fuel capacity and 190 litres of fresh water, giving the model a cruising brief that extends beyond day use while remaining comfortably inside Luxury Yacht Guide’s under-24m scope.
T-Step hull and up to 850hp
Propulsion comes from twin Mercury Marine V10 Verado outboards with up to 850hp combined. The hull uses NAVAN’s patented T-Step arrangement, which the builder says is intended to improve efficiency, handling and ride dryness while allowing the boat to carry the weight and equipment expected from an enclosed exploration cruiser.
The enclosed pilothouse provides weather protection around the helm and main living areas, while NAVAN has kept direct deck access and visibility central to the layout. That combination positions the C38 between open performance dayboats and more conventional cabin cruisers, with a stronger emphasis on long-distance versatility.
A modular aft deck broadens the mission
One of the C38’s main design themes is a reconfigurable aft section that can be adapted for cruising, fishing or cooking. Rather than fixing the cockpit around a single use, the platform is intended to let owners change how the stern functions according to the day’s activity.
That approach reflects a wider shift in the sub-15m market toward boats that need to work as weekender, family cruiser and watersports platform at the same time. The C38 combines that flexibility with a fully enclosed wheelhouse and four-person sleeping capacity, broadening NAVAN’s appeal beyond fair-weather day boating.
Cannes launches the next phase of the range
The C38 arrived at Cannes as NAVAN’s largest product introduction to date. Brunswick has also confirmed that an S38 will follow in early 2027, extending the 38-foot platform into another configuration and creating a new upper tier for the brand.
For buyers comparing modern adventure cruisers below 15 metres, the C38 adds a new option backed by Brunswick’s manufacturing and service network. Its combination of outboard power, enclosed accommodation and configurable deck space makes it one of the more significant new production launches from Cannes 2026.
