Garcia Yachts and Allures Yachting will hold the fifth DARE TO DREAM long-distance sailing seminar on Tatihou Island in Normandy on 9–11 October 2026. The three-day programme is aimed at owners preparing an extended voyage, rather than visitors seeking a conventional yacht-show display.
Sailor Pete Goss and weather-routing specialist Christian Dumard are among the announced contributors. Their presentations will be joined by practical workshops and first-hand accounts from yacht owners who have already spent time offshore.
Planning before departure
The organisers list itinerary design, weather, equipment, autonomy, life aboard, safety and crew organisation as the central topics. These decisions interact because a longer period between ports changes the supplies, maintenance capacity and watch arrangements needed.
