Excess Catamarans has confirmed two yachts for Genoa from 1 to 6 October 2026, with both models falling in Luxury Yacht Guide's 12.00–23.99-metre range. The announced stand brings together the Excess 13 and Excess 14.
The 12.99-metre Excess 13 and 13.97-metre Excess 14 represent two sizes of the builder's sailing-led catamaran concept. Their appearance is a show opportunity rather than a claim of a new launch for either design.
Why the pair matters
The Excess 13 gives owners a relatively compact way into a multihull with separate hull accommodation. The Excess 14 adds length while retaining the brand's emphasis on an active sailing experience.
Comparing them together is useful when deciding between ease of handling, cabin space and the flexibility of a larger platform. Dimensions alone cannot explain every difference in deck ergonomics.
Sailing remains part of the proposition
Excess's design approach places the connection between helm, cockpit and sailing controls at the centre of use. That matters to owners who want to be directly involved while underway rather than operate only from an isolated upper deck.
An in-water viewing can reveal visibility and movement around the coachroof, but a sea trial is needed to evaluate actual sail handling. Visitors should discuss the installed rig and equipment with the dealer.
