A dedicated two-day charter trade event

The eighth Croatia Charter Expo takes place in Hall D at Marina Kornati North on Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 October 2026. It is part of Biograd Boat Show but has a separate professional purpose: connecting charter fleet operators with brokers, agents and suppliers.

The organiser identifies Wednesday's expo hours as midday to 19:00 and Thursday's as 10:00 to 18:00. Those professional hours differ from the wider public exhibition and should be checked when arranging appointments.

More than 1,200 meetings promoted

The event's website promotes a programme of more than 1,200 business meetings across its two days. That is a target for arranged conversations, not evidence that the same number of commercial transactions will be completed.

The face-to-face structure is useful because yacht charter companies must coordinate distribution, servicing, management and sometimes financing before a new season starts. A meeting can reveal operational requirements that are difficult to communicate through a boat brochure alone.

Croatia's fleet-management role

Ilirija says participating Croatian businesses collectively represent more than 3,000 charter yachts in their broader operations. This figure indicates the scale of the country's fleet management sector, not the number of vessels physically on show.

International agents attend to learn about available yachts, preferred routes and practical standards expected by guests. Private owners may also be interested in understanding how professional management differs from maintaining a vessel exclusively for personal use.

A useful moment in the business calendar

The end-of-October date follows the busy summer season and gives operators a chance to consider the following year's bookings and service commitments. Organisers highlight the opportunity to visit nearby charter bases and examine different boat models.

Yachts suitable for charter do not necessarily generate attractive financial returns simply because they are well appointed. Operators still need to evaluate maintenance, local regulations, insurance, crew requirements and seasonal utilisation.

The show links boats with suppliers

The expo runs alongside an exhibition hosting motor boats, sailing yachts, catamarans, marine equipment and services. This combination lets delegates discuss both operating relationships and the technical characteristics of boats they may wish to use.

For the 12-to-24-metre market, yacht layouts must be assessed against practical guest circulation, sleeping accommodation and cleaning turnaround, as well as berthing constraints. Those details can affect charter management as much as headline purchase price.

Professional registration and follow-up

Potential participants can register through the official Croatia Charter Expo website and arrange introductions with fleet operators and suppliers. It is prudent to confirm booking requirements before arrival and to distinguish scheduled meetings from access to the public show.

Any yacht partnership arising from the expo should be evaluated through written agreements that identify responsibility for maintenance, insurance and operating costs. An industry event is useful for building contacts, but commercial decisions require more than a successful introductory meeting.
