Fold-down sides expand the cockpit
The A47 uses fold-down bulwarks beside the aft cockpit to extend the usable width beyond five metres when the yacht is at rest. Combined with a height-adjustable swim platform, the arrangement creates two waterside terraces beside the social area.
Cranchi integrates these extensions into a full walkaround circulation plan rather than treating them as isolated platforms. Guests can move from the stern to the forward sunpad along side decks without passing through the central seating area.
The full-beam T-top adds controlled shelter
A reverse-raked windscreen protects the helm while a new full-beam T-top uses adjustable louvres to control sun and shade over the cockpit. Integrated lighting and audio are designed into the structure rather than added as separate accessories.
This combination allows the A47 to remain visually open while giving owners more control over heat, glare and changing weather. It also makes the yacht more practical for long days aboard in hot Mediterranean conditions.
Two cabins turn a day boat into a weekender
Below deck, the owner's cabin is separated from a second twin-berth cabin, with the two sharing a bathroom. A tender garage beneath the aft sunpad can store a small tender while preserving the bathing platform for guests.
The accommodation does not try to imitate a 20-metre cruising yacht, but it changes how the boat can be used. A couple or small family can remain aboard overnight and make short multi-day coastal trips.
Twin IPS650 units form the preliminary power package
Cranchi's preliminary specification lists two Volvo Penta D6 IPS650 units rated at 480 horsepower each, a 1,500-litre fuel capacity and CE Category B certification. The builder notes that final production data can still change.
The A47 therefore sits between a luxury tender and a compact cruising yacht. Its significance comes from combining open day-boat architecture with shelter, cabins and propulsion intended to make longer coastal use realistic.
