Structure and draft
The official specification lists a 4.39m beam, with draft varying between about 1.02m and 2.48m as the centreboard is raised or lowered. The welded aluminium hull and practical deck arrangement are intended for a range of cruising waters.
Reduced draft can help a skipper consider shallower anchorages, but local depth, tides and seabed hazards still govern access. Aluminium construction does not remove the need for inspection after groundings or impacts.
A protected watch position
The doghouse and deck saloon give crew a more sheltered place to monitor the surroundings, while the cockpit remains part of the working deck. A simple plan matters to a couple handling sails without a large crew.
The interior is offered with different arrangements, including a three-cabin specification. The individual boat's plan and equipment should be checked rather than treating a model description as a complete inventory.
Capacity for a longer voyage
The manufacturer's specification lists about 635 litres each of fuel and water, a 50hp standard engine and roughly 100 square metres of mainsail and genoa area. That combination supports passage planning but does not itself determine the safe range.
Water consumption, electrical demand, storage and crew ability remain essential considerations. Buyers should check the installed keel mechanism and service arrangements as carefully as the accommodation.
