A large cruising catamaran at Fort Lauderdale
Aquila has named its 54 Yacht among the ten models scheduled for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show on 28 October to 1 November 2026. The company says its presentation at Dock E in the Bahia Mar Yachting Center is its largest single-brand power catamaran display.
The 54 Yacht is an established model rather than a new world premiere. Its inclusion matters because it gives visitors an opportunity to explore the accommodation-focused end of Aquila's range alongside smaller models intended for shorter outings.
Wide beam for extended time aboard
At 16.5 metres overall, the Aquila 54 Yacht sits well within the 12-to-24-metre luxury-yacht sector. Its beam of 7.68 metres is especially notable, delivering a broad platform for living areas compared with many similarly long single-hull motor yachts.
The main saloon connects through sliding doors to an expansive cockpit, while the upper flybridge offers another place to relax. Guests considering long holidays should check circulation, comfortable seating and suitable shade as closely as published interior dimensions.
Flexible three- to five-cabin layouts
The shipyard offers three-, four- and five-cabin plans, including versions with skipper accommodation and a galley-down arrangement. Those choices allow owners to decide how much space should be devoted to guest berths and how much to private living.
A couple cruising for weeks at a time might place storage and personal space above maximum berths, while a larger family may benefit from separate cabins. A boat-show inspection is useful for seeing how the alternatives would affect daily life.
Tankage and offshore certification
Aquila lists 2,200 litres of standard fuel capacity and 1,000 litres of fresh water on the 54 Yacht. Its published CE ocean certification is Category A for 12 people, although operators must respect the relevant conditions and limits attached to a particular certified vessel.
These figures do not guarantee any particular range at sea. Weather, speed, passenger loading and reserves need to be considered when planning longer routes, and buyers should request performance information for the engine package they select.
A family cruising proposition
A broad flybridge, wet bar and open deck areas mean the yacht can support multiple groups of guests while retaining privacy below deck. The manufacturer places particular emphasis on the relation between indoor dining, the cockpit and the view from the saloon.
A power catamaran's width may create considerable living space but can also affect berth selection and handling in tight marina locations. Buyers should weigh the added room against marina infrastructure and the help they expect while docking.
Part of a revised ten-model programme
Aquila's latest show listing names ten power catamaran models across its Yacht, Coupe, Sport and Molokai ranges, with the 54 Yacht among the larger accommodation-led vessels. This updated listing is broader than some earlier nine-model show previews.
Prospective customers are advised to book a personal viewing for Dock E and to verify the exact specification of the displayed yacht. Model descriptions are useful for comparison, but options, delivery dates and the final purchase terms require confirmation from an authorised representative.
