Why there is no single marina price

Berthing prices vary by marina, season, yacht dimensions, duration and berth type. Some operators publish tariff tables, while others price individual requests. Luxury Yacht Guide therefore does not apply one generic euro-per-metre figure across the Mediterranean because it would disguise meaningful differences between ports and yacht types.

Length is only the starting point

Overall length commonly influences the tariff category, but beam can be equally important. A wide catamaran may occupy substantially more marina frontage than a monohull of similar length and can therefore be priced differently or require a particular berth. Owners should provide actual overall dimensions rather than assuming registration figures are sufficient for every booking system.

Season and location

Peak Mediterranean demand can make the same berth materially more expensive or harder to obtain at different times of year. Major events can create additional pressure in destinations such as Monaco and Cannes. Annual, monthly and transient arrangements also operate differently, so an owner planning a full-season base should not extrapolate directly from a short-stay quotation.

What may be included

Electricity, fresh water, waste services, parking, security and other marina services may be included, metered separately or charged according to consumption. Technical work, lifting, storage and fuel are normally distinct ownership costs even when those facilities are available within the same marina.

Five Mediterranean examples

The Mediterranean Marinas for 12–24 Metre Luxury Yachts guide currently compares Port Adriano, Port Vauban, Port Hercule, IGY Vieux-Port de Cannes and Marina di Porto Cervo using verified operator information. Those pages demonstrate the differences in berth inventory, technical support and services that sit behind the headline question of berthing cost.

Budgeting for ownership

Owners should obtain current quotations directly from the marina for their exact yacht and intended dates. Berthing should then be incorporated into the wider annual budget described in the Luxury Yacht Running Costs: 12–24 Metres guide. Buyers comparing multihulls should also read Luxury Catamaran vs Monohull Yacht, because additional beam can influence both availability and cost.
